I think this was a very decent Halloween episode, Witchmon was adorable right at the end when she realized that the holiday ended, and yet... what does she mean with the Dark Conqueror? Is that another title for Gulus?

Seriously... I would love that Ghost Game stop drip feeding us this kind of information and just give us a big arc based on Gulus and the Dark Digimons already, we're almost at the 50th episode mark and surely something big must happen soon right?

Dark Conqueror and jet black champion are different translations of the same word

I mean, seriously. We already saw almost 50 episodes and we still don't know anything about Gulus and those black digimon.
Next time, when Gulus appears, I wouldn't be surprised if we will see "Valiant Jet-Black Warrior" Loweemon, human warrior of darkness.

Dark Conqueror could be Gulus, but also it could be his potentially perfect form, Regulusmon.

I must admit - I enjoyed this episodic treatment, but it could be nice if we see some plot-wise. For me, Ghost Game is still better than Adventure 2020.

Yup, all Ghost Game needs is a little push for the actual big plot to start to become even better, and I do agree as well Ghost Game is still a good Digimon show which is also miles better than Adventure 2020.

This is the first time a Digimon was upfront with Gammamon about it and Gammamon would of course be clueless since he has no memories of the three times he went into that state.

I think that Regulusmon is Gulus' perfect form, on the same level as Canoweissmon.

Actually I think she was referring to Pumpmon not Gulusgammamon because remember EP 43 the Oboromon called him “The Jet-Black Champion” although it could also refer to Canoweissmon Dark form Regulismon but I guess the wait will tell us

I know I've already mentioned this, and I should be used to this by now, but it really is irritating how they keep writing off the Digimon as holograms to everyone who isn't a tamer. Why even give them the ability to turn transparent if it's this easy to fool each and every citizen? At least in Adventure, they would write them off as plush toys and have them stay still when other people were present. This is just annoying, especially when I'm certain some of these people would be perfectly okay keeping the Digimon's existence a secret.

The writers really took inspiration from the movie Witches (1990) and the book by Roald Dahl. The witches in both turned people into rats.
Roald Dahl also wrote James and the Giant Peach, Matilda and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

As Wizardmon female counterpart, Witchmon is the 1st to have the same level as her male counterpart. Female counterparts tend to be one level higher than their males (Angemon-Angewomon, Devimon-Ladydevimon, Lucemon CM-Lilithmon)

I was joking early in the episode about how Hiro and Ruri / Ruli were probably thinking "Why it had to be Witchmon? I would have prefered Pumpmon / Pumpkinmon to comeback" so I was pleasantly surprised to see Pumpkinmon from VERY EARLY in the show (as in, before Kiyoshiro and Jellymon appeared) to actually come back

The only way to make his come back more memorable is if he was angry at Witchmon for ruining halloween. that he was happy to come back to possibly party but she had to ruin it

I think Pumpkinmon showing up against Witchmon is him angry at her for ruining his once per year time to mingle and interact with people.

Correction: Kiyoshiro has appeared since the start of the series, it's only Jellymon that came an episode later. But it's close enough.
